Before Peter Parker was bitten by the radioactive spider, he went on a fishing trip with his Uncle Ben to Westchester County! It was a quiet and relaxing day on the water...until the monsters attacked! Gigantus! Groot! Blip! Vandoom's Monster! And X -- the Thing that Lives! Wow, how will young Peter escape from this quintet of golden age monsters? Maybe he won't have to if his fishing trip is all a dream! Or perhaps all a nightmare! Cameo appearances by Aunt May and Nightmare. (Notes: This one-shot issue was part of Marvel's company-wide "Flashback" event. This issue was published in July 1997 between Sensational Spider-Man 17 and 18.)
