Hawkman must find a way to defeat the murderess Blackfire. Hawkwoman has been killed by Blackfire and now she admits to Hawkman that she also killed Hawkgirl. On planet Rann Blackfire defeats Hawkman in an arial battle, stealing his wings and allowing him to fall to his death. Not to worry, the Commisioner lends another set of wings to Hawkman. He then hatches a plan that leads him interstellar hopping. A final battle between Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Blackfire unfolds on planet Thanagar.
