"Shot on Goal" is the serio-comic tale of a romance between the Trombone Girls' Chako Marquez and a mystery man, nipped in the bud by the unlikeliest of events. Rounding out the issue is "Love You Madly, XOXO Elsie" (aka "Scumbag of Oz"), wherein Elsie LeGrande deals with the news that her ex-boyfriend has died.
