Battlestone, working for Alexander Graves, posts Riptide's bail in an attempt to lure her into a trap. Riptide soon realizes it's all a trap and makes her escape. She seeks out the reporter Jack Leeds and, with his help, they attempt to clear Riptide's name by exposing her unknown origins. However, an unnamed official at Youngblood intervene's, has Jack Leads arressted and clears Riptide from all charges, all with the intention of keeping her origins a secret. The story concludes with the unnamed official deleting the file with the information on Riptides history.
