In November 7, 2014 we opened our temporary doors in a large warehouse. It was only meant to be a 2 month pop-up, but people just kept coming. so we decided to make Red Pegasus Comics permanent.
In April, 2015 we moved into a little red building on 8th St. It was originally a neighborhood grocery store back in the 1920's and had been empty for years. We stayed in that little red building for 3 years. We had a ton of great events in that building, inlcuding huge signings with Charles Soule & Ryan Browne, Donny Cates, Robert Wilson IV, and being a filming location for Puppet Master: The Little Reich. We loved that building.
June 26, 2015 was a historic day for gay rights across the country. We were very lucky to be among the first the couples to get married in Dallas. We had no idea, however that we'd go viral.
On January 22,2016 we won the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce "Business of the Year."
June, 2016 our logo caught the eye of a very powerful company and we were asked, politely, to chance our logo. WE did, and that’s when we started using the origami pegasus as our logo.
In September, 2016 we were named "Best Comic Shop in Big D" by the Dallas Observer.
In 2018, D Magazine listed us in their guide to comic shops in Dallas https://www.dmagazine.com/arts-entertainment/2018/10/a-guide-to-dallas-best-comic-book-stores/
