Free Comic Book Day is a party celebrating comic books! Every visitor gets at least one free comic book from the Free Comic Book Day selection! Visit comic book artists, see costumed characters, grab food from the food truck, do activities, take pics, and check out CBH!
Everyone gets at least one comic! Choose from a brand new selection of FREE COMICS! There are comics for every age group!
Guest Artists: Neil Vokes (Superman, Spider-Man), Adriana Melo (Catwoman, Fantastic Four), Buz Hasson (Living Corpse, Grumpy Cat), Jamar Nicholas (Leon: Protector of the Playground), and Knack Whittle (Sweet Valley Twins).
Guest Characters: Spider-Man, 501st Legion First State Garrison (Star Wars), Delaware Ghostbusters, and the Newark PAL mascot!
Food Truck: buy some good eats to fuel your fun!
Help your community: we are collecting non-perishable food items for the Newark Welfare Committee. Bring one or more can and you will get one additional free comic!
Free Comic Book Day is in Captain Blue Hen Comics, plus in our front parking lot, and in an additional space behind the store (we will show you on the day). It’s big fun!
Parking: free parking in the Kelway Plaza office park. Turn left right before our entrance and park in Kelway Plaza).
