Isabel Reidy's comics deserve to be read by anyone who believes in the potential of rich writing and wild imagery co-existing in one comic vessel and not diminishing the power of either discipline. Reidy's work is full of poetic, deeply felt passages that blend with a tapestry of inky figure drawings---as a whole, this is pure comics that read/look/feel like nothing else. From the first page on, you feel yourself riveted to a voice both open and assertive. A new language that connects with emotions we already know we have, more comics should be this creatively ambitious.
