Filthy Dirty Books (Adult)

New zine made with collector J. X. Williams, Jr. of their outrageous smut paperback collection. These are all real books published in the pre-internet underworld of the sixties and seventies. Amazing, hair-raising, hilarious, and over-the-top, this zine is a window into a weird world of smut publishing history, where forbidden fantasy novels were sold under the counter in Times Square and at sex shops around the world. A lot of this material was actually illegal to produce, some of it published by the mafia, and nearly impossible to find when it was new. Also, these books were crazy expensive, and were often 10x the price of a regular paperback book at the time of their production. Theoretically the original purchasers of these books were fetishists and would pay any price; at least that was the mindset of some of the mob-owned publishers. We present the material here for your education and enlightenment.
