Welcome to another edition of Mondays with Marc - where I highlight comic books hitting shops on Wednesday that should be on your radar.
Amazing Spider-Man #1 - Writer Nick Spencer and artist Ryan Ottley take the reigns of Marvel's flagship title. Spencer can write humor (Superior Foes of Spider-Man) and drama (Secret Empire) very well. And Ottley has drawn Robert Kirkman's superhero comic, Invincible (which is a Spider-Man/Superman mashup) for years. Looking forward to this new direction for Spidey.
Avengers #1 (Third Printing), Deadpool #1 (Second Printing), Doctor Strange #1 (Second Printing) - If you missed out on these, now's your chance to read 'em.
Farmhand #1 - Rob Guillory, the penciller on Chew, writes and draws this new series from Image Comics and about a Farm that grows human body parts. I've read the first issue and liked it!
JLA Gallery Statues: Batman and Aquaman - Priced at just $45 each, these vinyl statues are awesome, and are must haves if you've been picking up the other members of the JLA.
Outpost Zero #1 - Writer Sean McKeever, known for writing heartfelt teenage stories, writes this heartfelt teenage sci-fi drama. If you like Paper Girls, give Outpost Zero a shot.
Ruinworld #1 - An all-ages comic about fun, friendship and screaming in the face of danger, perfect for fans of Adventure Time and Adventure Zone.
She Could Fly #1 - This is a tough one to describe, and a tough one to read. But absolutely worthwhile, especially for those interested in Mental Health. Josh and I both recommend it.
Superman #1 - If you've been reading The Man of Steel by Brian Michael Bendis, then this is what comes next. Also great for new Superman readers.
Titans #23 - New creative team. New direction spinning out of Justice League: No Justice.
Transformers: Unicron #1 - Great place to jump into the current line of Transformers comics.
X-23 #1 - Laura Kinney is going by X-23 again, but she's still hanging out with her younger clone, Gabby, and their pet Wolverine, Jonathan. Great story by new creative team Mariko Tamaki and Juan Cabal.
Make sure that you don't miss any of the above by subscribing at your local comic shop!
Thanks for reading,
