Broot is cheerfully reunited with his wife Kattayan-Besh. The two have not seen one another since the day the Gordanians took Kattayan as a slave many years ago. The reunion is bittersweet however as Broot grieves over the fact that his wife is blind and sick from radiation poisoning. In fact, all of the Changralynians down in these minds are prematurely aged due to long term exposure to the deadly energy. Meanwhile on the Omega Men mothership, Doc outfits Primus with a new eye, replacing the cybernetic one he had been using since the siege of Changralyn. Tigorr makes an attempt to alleviate Primus' concerns, but he is no mood for the Karnan's displays of carousal. His only thought is that of his wife Kalista, who he might never see again.
